Christians should treat homosexuals just like they treat everyone else.  Everyone is created in God’s image.  Everyone deserves our love.  Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:43-45

Those who practice homosexuality are my neighbors and I love them. But I do not condone their sinful behavior.  The old saying says, “Love the sinner and hate the sin.”

But do not get confused between love and tolerance.  As Christians we are to love the truth.  The truth is that God condemns homosexuality.  Tolerance says, “Live and let live.”  Love confronts the hard issues for the well being of the other person.

Jesus set the example in every area.  “While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” were eating with him and his disciples.  When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the “sinners” and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:15-17

It is not unchristian to call someone a sinner.  A sinner needs a “spiritual” doctor. Jesus is the only “spiritual” doctor we need.
